Military Photo Report: AMX-10 RCR du 3ème Hussard en exercice à Baumholder.

Dans l'optique d'une projection en OPEX (opération extérieure), le 3ème régiment de Hussard, encore dans la 250ème année de son anniversaire, à envoyé un de ces escadron s'entrainer dans le camp militaire allemand de Baumholder, camp qu'ils connaissent bien de par l'appartenance du régiment à la brigade franco-allemande (BFA).
Arrivé sur place, en plus d'un terrain difficile, les soldats ont du faire face à une météo capricieuse avec; Un jour du gel et des températures inférieures à zéro, un autre jour un terrain couvert de boue et très humide, et d'autres jours encore sous une épaisse couche de neige.
Une partie de l'équipe MM a pu se rendre sur le terrain et a pu suivre plusieurs rotations en cessions de tir notamment.
Décembre 2014 étant par ailleurs le mois où Model-Miniature propose sont nouvel AMX-10 RCR avec boitier anti-IED, antennes et figurine de tankiste, c'était donc l'occasion parfaite de pouvoir prendre en image ces mêmes véhicules en plein action apportant ainsi un support visuel au produit proposé.
Très professionnel comme à son habitude, les hommes et femmes du 3ème RH ont effectué plusieurs simulations de combat avec tirs sur cible fixe, tirs sur cibles mobiles mais également simulation de réplique ennemi avec dégâts matériel et humain factice.
En effet, porter secours en zone de combat à des unités touchées et les extraire faisait également parti de l’entrainement et permettait d'aguerrir encore un peu plus les soldats à toute éventualité lors de leurs futurs déploiements.

In the context of an external operational exercise held outside of the French metropole, the 3e Régiment de Hussards sent a squadron to train in the German military camp in Baumholder. The regiment, now in its 250th year of existence, knows the area well from its use by Franco-German brigade (BFA) and by French forces during the cold war. Once the troops arrived on the Baumholder training ground, in addition to difficult terrain, the soldiers faced capricious weather. Days of frost and temperatures below zero were followed by a thaw that left the exercise area sodden with mud and very wet. In the last part of the exercise the whole area was blanketed by snow.
Part of the MM team were able to follow the regiment in the field and took several rotations shooting particular photo assignments. December 2014 is a serendipitously month for the AMX-10RC: Model-Miniature offers are new AMX-10 CPR with anti-IED box, antennas and tanker figurine. This was the perfect opportunity to take pictures of the real vehicle in action, providing ideal reference for our latest offering.
Very professional as usual, the men and women of the 3e RH conducted several combat simulations shooting at moving targets, but also operated against simulated enemy forces with convincing material and human "damage". The training was realistic and allowed the units involved to harden their personnel to the possible situations they might meet in future deployments. Special thanks go out to the communications officer of the 3e Régiment de Hussards, and to the officers and soldiers who were kind enough to welcome us.
