Le VBCI est sans aucuns doutes le véhicules de l'armée française le plus emblématique de ces dernières années. Véhicule du 21ème Siècle, ce blindé de combat d'infanterie est la vitrine de son constructeur Nexter ainsi que de l'armée qui l'emploie. Tourelle de 25mm, 32 Tonnes en version "Rang", très mobile et polyvalent, ayant déjà servi et montré son efficacité sur plusieurs théâtres de guerre comme l'Afghanistan, le Mali au sein de l'opération Serval ou encore aujourd'hui déployé en république Centre Africaine. C'est sans conteste le véhicule de l'avenir pour les unités qui l'emploient.
Pour ces raisons, Model-Miniature à décidé de le réaliser en modèle réduit afin de compléter sa gamme de véhicules Français.

L'accueil qui à été fait du modèle à été extrêmement chaleureux et toute l'équipe de Model-Miniature ne peut qu'être fière de ce nouveau projet mené a son terme grâce à une coopération qui ne peux qu'améliorer l'image déjà reluisante d'un de nos plus importants Bataillon de Chasseurs. Un remerciement particulier est adressé à tout ceux qui ont participé à ce projet et notamment l'officier de communication du régiment, les soldats et officiers qui ont été d'une aide précieuse tout du long du projet, des équipe des garages de VBCI du Bataillon, ainsi que le l'équipe Nexter présente sur place et qui apporte soutien et savoir faire quotidien afin d'aider à la bonne marche de cet engin qui, à n'en pas douter, deviendra au fil des années au moins aussi mythique que le VAB.
